Over the next five years, the Village Hotel and Leisure Club Group plans to increase the portfolio to 50 hotels across the UK Long standing employee with Village since 2001, Mark Williams, general manager for the Ashton Moss property, will be leading this flagship hotel in the North West, set to drive both the leisure and business market from the area and across the UK. Mark Williams began working with the Village Hotel and Leisure Club Group in Warrington in 2001 and moved to become General Manager of the Village Hotel & Leisure Club Walsall in March 2005 three months after it opened. Mark has extensive hotel and catering industry experience - with 10 years experience with Thistle Hotels - starting at the Atlantic Tower in Liverpool as assistant food and beverage manager and rose within the group to open the Thistle Middlesbrough in early 2000. Paula Pilling has already worked within the De Vere group for four years in various support roles from field sales to national accounts and now will take the role of Sales Manager for Village Hotel Ashton Moss, striving to deliver the best opportunities for both the local community as well as national market whether it be for weddings, conference & smaller scale business meetings - all the way through to weekend breaks or local visitors within the food and beverage facilities on property. With over 12 years industry experience within the health and fitness sector, Roger will become an asset not only to Ashton Moss but the Village hotel fitness group, set to show the local community the benefits of exercise at your own pace through the relaxed but broad health and leisure offer available within the hotel's club onsite. Gary Davis, chief operating officer Village Hotels, said of the appointments, "We've got a really strong team ready for the Ashton Moss property plus lots of other opportunities for recruitment within the local area. We hope to see many of the local community frequenting the property whether it be for a Friday night drink in The Victory Pub, enjoying a lazy Sunday lunch at Verve Grill, or dropping in for a swim, right through to signing a key business deal under our new roof. I'm confident both local visitors as well as leisure break visitors will be impressed with the new hotel at Ashton Moss as it will be one of our flagship hotels in the UK, leading the way for the new Village concept in the premium budget sector." |
